Drugs were found in my car, but they are not mine. I was arrested. Do I need an attorney?

You should probably get an attorney because a person can be prosecuted for being in constructive possession of drugs that don’t belong to them. The prosecution would have to show that you had knowledge of the presence of the drugs and knowledge of the illicit nature of the drugs to prove that you’re in constructive possession. But even if you don’t own the drugs you can be prosecuted for being in constructive possession of drugs.
