If the police pull me over for a traffic offense in Florida, can they search my car and arrest me?

If the police pull someone over for a traffic offense, they cannot automatically search their vehicle. However certain things might arise during that traffic stop that would allow the police to search the vehicle, such as seeing evidence of a crime in plain view, or smelling evidence of a crime, or if the driver were to provide consent to the police officer then that may authorize a search. There may be other ways that they could search the car as well.
