My offense is minor. Do I really even need a attorney or can I just handle this on my own?
Many minor offenses are resolved in courtrooms throughout Florida without an attorney. Minor misdemeanors and things of that nature. However, there are certain consequences of some crimes that a person may not be aware of where their crime can be used to enhance a charge in the future, where they may be being adjudicated guilty of a crime and having a conviction on their record. So, even if an offense seems minor, and the punishment seems relatively minor, a person should certainly know what the consequences of that resolution are in the future.
