What is a deposition?

A deposition is a discovery tool where an attorney can question a witness for the opposing side under oath before trial to find out what testimony that witness would provide in the case if the case were to go to court.

It’s a powerful tool that an attorney can use to discover and develop and to expose various factual and legal issues in your case, and oftentimes can lead to a better resolution in your case without the need to go to trial.
